New digs
I know it's been forever since the last post, but life came at us fast and we've literally been trying just to keep up ever since. We are finally moved into our new place and still trying to adjust to new jobs and schedules and continually overbook ourselves. We're thinking of going camping soon to escape it all--leaving the technology behind, ya feel me?
So. I took a few pictures of the place all set up to share with you, here's the grand tour.

Enter: the living room.
This is where we hope to one day do a lot of our sitting, catching up, entertaining and, well, living. One day. So far it is the room that has monopolized the majority of my time cleaning, organizing, and unpacking.
The part I enjoy most so far? Having a mantle that I consider to be almost Pinterest-worthy. Almost.
Our new porch is also excellent. We have a view that would arguably give the Robinsons a run for their money, and I like that a lot. I always wanted to live in a tree house. Once that silent inhibitor pollen stops lurking everywhere we'll actually get to use this baby.
The most important aspect of every home: the tea and coffee bar.
As you can see, we've had to get a little more creative with our storage, but it'll do nicely.
(P.S. the sink, refrigerator, and dishwasher are so much more spacious! This is important.)
The dining room was a bit harder to capture due to the battle between natural and fluorescents. This is not a complaint. We had zero windows or light in our old apartment and one of the many glorious things about this new place is the amount of outdoor visibility and natural lighting. It's amazing. Truly. I mean, this is the view from our bedroom:
The guest bedroom! One of the greatest things about this apartment. Perfect for friends to visit, and (not pictured) the mess of a desk that used to sit in the middle of the only space we had in our old apartment, constantly cluttered with work and personal stuff. Now it gets its very own room, out of sight.
Plus my TV/VCR is no longer put to shame in the storage closet. It is now housed right on that empty dresser, along with my collection of used library VHSs. Oh yea.
So that's the grand tour. It's literally half an hour closer to my work, ten minutes from Michael's school and the church, and positioned perfectly between historic Roswell and the center of Dunwoody. It's pretty great.
